In case you didn't read the news announcement, the contest is to basically draw yourself enjoying Dr Pepper for a chance at having your picture painted on a mural in New York. c:

Even though the idea of a tea Dr Pepper party seems a little silly, it's actually not far from the truth at all.
My mom always serves hot Dr Pepper in a teacup over a slice of lemon when it gets cold outside~ It's one of my favorite traditions :heart: She picked up the idea from her high school best friend, and it apparently originated in the 1960's from this magazine ad:

Don't knock it if you've never tried it. This stuff is wonderful. :heart:

I had a lot of fun with this because I've never done anything like it before~ I didn't think my normal style would look so good on a mural, so it was an opportunity to try something new :heart: My only problem was the template; it was way, way too small. I didn't really want to resize my finished drawing that much, a lot of the detail disappeared~

(Also no, I don't have a twin...I just don't think any of my friends are 4-or-5-a-day Dr Pepper drinkers like I am, LOL. I usually have at least one with each meal, and a couple spread out during the day. I love this stuff :heart: )

edit: I'm terrible with titles.

Haha! My mother would say to have hot Dr Pepper with lemon if you're constipated, "because it's made with prunes". A quick Google search reveals that it is not the case, but I still enjoy it every once in a while. :D
